From this Saturday 9 May 2020, the restrictions on holding open homes will be relaxed. The NSW government treasurer Dominic Perrottet and the Minister for Health Brad Hazzard have celebrated the progress made so far and warned that there was still no place for complacency.
“Real estate agents should limit the number of people viewing a property and attending an auction, follow stringent cleaning and safety guidelines, ensure clients do not touch surfaces and always have hand sanitiser available.”
Mr Perrottet urged a common-sense approach across the industry.
“If we want to keep as many people in jobs as possible and businesses in business it is important to follow the safety advice and not put others at risk,” Mr Perrottet said.
Some of the key guidelines to follow include:
- actively promoting good hygiene at Open Homes with hand sanitisers available
- ensure physical distancing of great than 1.5m
- Manage the number of people in small spaces consider extended open times
- using digital platforms
Here at Rightside, we will continue to offer private inspections and video inspections at a time that suits the buyers/tenants. We have had great feedback from tenants about the 360-degree virtual tours that we have organised for every property on the market, with many tenants commenting that it really is the next best thing to an in person inspection.
