Kim’s Cool Adventures in Airlie Beach
In July, Kim embarked on a delightful family trip, accompanied by her father, husband and best friend, to visit her son Nathan, who has made his home in the beautiful Airlie Beach. As we imagined her basking in the sunshine and reveling in the warmth that Queensland is famous for, we were surprised to hear about a rare cold snap that hit the region, bringing temperatures down to 10 degrees Celsius, just on the day when Kim had organised a snorkeling tour!
Nevertheless, despite the unexpected weather twist, the pictures she shared showcased a sunny and pleasant scene, perhaps her way of reassuring us that the magic of Airlie Beach was undiminished even during this unusual cold spell.
Coach Jason
In the world of real estate, long work hours and six-day workweeks are the norm, but there’s one extraordinary individual who stands out from the crowd – Coach Jason! While most of us take Sundays to relax and unwind, Jason is a man on a mission. On Sundays, he puts on a different hat, guiding and inspiring the Wakehurst Tiger Women’s Soccer Team with unwavering dedication. They affectionately call themselves the “Margies,” in a delightful nod to their favorite beverage, Margaritas.
As the season heats up and the pressure mounts, Coach Jason remains undeterred. His determination and guidance have propelled the team to a remarkable 3rd position on the league table, and with just two weeks left, they’re setting their sights on the coveted Finals. The Margies couldn’t have asked for a more passionate and committed leader. Go Margies!
Juan’s Soccer Fever
For those unfamiliar, Juan’s roots trace back to Colombia, but at the age of 9, he immigrated to Australia. Being a devoted soccer enthusiast, it came as no shock that he wouldn’t pass up the chance to witness the thrilling World Cup clash between Colombia and Germany. Clad in the vibrant Colombian jersey and captured alongside his wife, Alex, and son, Emilio, they all roared with enthusiasm (in Spanish, of course). Juan recalled the electric atmosphere in the stadium, where passion for the game permeated the air. He couldn’t be prouder that Colombia emerged victorious!Holey Moley – Car drives through wall in Manly
In a startling incident here in Manly, chaos ensued as a driver inadvertently crashed through a wall. The sequence of events began with the driver reversing into the vehicle behind while attempting to rectify the situation. However, the predicament worsened as the driver then accelerated, navigating through the closing boom gates, and ultimately colliding with the wall of the Central Avenue carpark building.
Police confirmed that a 66-year-old man was involved in the peculiar mishap. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported, but the incident left locals bewildered. The cause of the erratic driving is yet to be determined, but authorities have issued a traffic infringement notice as part of their investigation.
